Sometimes I think that life isn’t about the bright day where everyone is somehow busy. During the day people are wearing their poker faces, are stressed out and have no time to converse properly with one another. Rush, hurry, bluntness, carelessness; those are the words that define the day. It is actually all about the nights. It’s about vulnerability, openness and helplessness. Life is about the dreams that get stuck, or get lost, in our heads in the mornings, subconsciously. The subconscious makes us perceive things on a level beyond our control, and thus defines our actions, which in return, make us believe that they happen naturally. We think however, that the actions we take are the products of our choices. We think we are in control of all situations, but the subconscious, the invisible so to speak, and our feelings, prove us wrong every time. I would say people are floating through life on a small boat without paddles or a motor. Whichever doc we arrive at, this is how we live then. This particular “then” is how we live now. Becoming someone is truly hard. We fear and face so much on each doc, day by day, and most of the time, life is really draining. But we can’t leave the shore because a huge storm has occupied the sea. So tell me now, on this doc, in this very moment, where do we go from here?
Approaching the storm demands hell of a lot of energy and bravery. Waiting till the storm passes by does too. Doing something and doing nothing both belong to the category of making a decision. Mostly, doing nothing is way harder than showing some sort of reaction. Doing nothing requires more fearlessness and gallantry. People who are able to walk away without talking things out are not always the weak ones. In my eyes, and I have learned from past experiences, that not every action needs a reaction. Nowadays, I would much rather get up and walk away with a mere smile, because not knowing the exact reasons is far better than knowing everything. At least, it allows you to sleep at night.
We all know that our only purpose in life is to live and to survive, but if we take survival as a word and catapult it onto a deeper level, then we can say that some people are only meant to survive emotionally. This is their life. It’s one thing, not two. Survival; one word and one life.
