Fiction: Everytime…I blog.

So, I’ve been thinking. People go through really bad times at some point in their lives. We always try and compare ourselves to someone else’s circumstances reassuring our lost souls that somewhere, someone is somehow living a much worse life than you are. Or reversed: Your situation is the worst there can be. Comparisons. Ugly bastards. Yuck. Everybody hates them but everyone compares literally all the time. Leading a personal blog with my own opinions is actually pretty dangerous, but it’s fun. You get to share so much with other bloggers and readers who constantly look for new blogs to follow and inspirations to gain. Especially as a newcomer into the virtual but somehow real blogging world, people hesitate to express their true selves. It’s a shame, but it’s a newbie mistake. Everybody does it. Let’s compare it to (how ironic, I’m comparing, but that’s exactly the point) a similar “sin” in the world of fashion: One is committing a horrible and tasteless fashion crime when combining gold and silver jewelry or clothing pieces at once. It’s like a rule in the world of la mode. Do NOT do it.

Anyway, it’s similar to newly joined and ambitious bloggers. They are scared to write about their passions and honest dislikes, mistakes and cravings. They try and establish a hidden identity to fit into a category which is based on a very successful topic to blog about. The truth is: There is so much out there already, seemingly repetitive blogs and bloggers, and so it seems that every job is already occupied. But it’s only an illusion because we fear failure. The good news is that there is another truth: The above statement is not really true. There might be similar bloggers and blogs but they will still differ within the frames of individuality. There is so much out there needing and awaiting exploration, discovery and the mastery of uncovering the treasures hidden. NO one should compare or fear what one hasn’t tried yet. I mean, let’s be real here, the most successful bloggers chose a topic that they are particularly passionate about or good at. Even if they are blogging about a popular theme doesn’t mean that their opinions are not valued or appreciated. They are being loved for what they have to say because they care about something that’s important to them. They put time, effort and ideas into their passion and simply share it with everyone. So, there is no such thing as “Oh, his/her blog is much better and mine is so horrible, I really am bad at this. I should stop.” NO, YOU SHOULDN’T. You should follow your heart and your instincts and SHARE SHARE SHARE. STOP COMPARING AND START DOING.

People, get cracking and don’t be afraid, because after all, your blog is an important voice to us all and your blog is your little space. So: Use it and don’t abuse it.
